A Floating Sauna & Cold Plunge in Ottawa and Toronto
Cedar heat, cold water, and a view of the city from the bench. Book a 90-minute session and move through the whole ritual in one visit.
Saunoa (SOW-no-ah) is the Finnish verb for to sauna. It means the act itself, not the room, and that shaped how we built this place.
In Ottawa, the sauna floats on the Ottawa River beside the old boathouse, with an enclosed river plunge and open water access.
In Toronto, it sits on the harbourfront with the CN Tower over your shoulder and a plunge tub on the deck.
Couples, friends, teams, and first-timers all welcome.
Bring a swimsuit and two towels, and you'll leave with your shoulders an inch lower.
What’s Saunoa?
Ottawa
Opens Early November 2026.
Moored beside a heritage boathouse on the Ottawa River, with forest on the far shore and docks out front.
The cold plunge is an enclosed river plunge, and there's open water access if you want to go straight into the river. Changerooms are on site, plus access to the NCC river house.
Toronto
Opens November 2026.
On the harbourfront at 275 Queen's Quay West, with the CN Tower over your shoulder and planes coming in and out of Billy Bishop across the water.
The plunge tub sits on the deck a few steps from the sauna door, and the sunsets over the lake are worth timing your booking around. Changerooms and cold showers are on site.
